Hills-Beaver Creek rolls to first state title, 64–33 over J-W-P
Fifth-seeded Hills-Beaver Creek capped its first boys basketball state tournament with a 64–33 championship win over No. 2 Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at Williams Arena.
Senior Jamin Metzger led the Patriots with 22 points and 13 rebounds. HBC had already knocked off No. 4 Southland in the quarters and top-seeded Henning in overtime in the semis before dominating the final. The Bulldogs cut a big deficit briefly in the second half but never got the margin under double figures.
